- The Big Ink was an incredible experience. Firstly, Lyell is a talented teacher and artist. His instruction videos were clear concise and extremely helpful. The support throughout the entire process was outstanding.  If I needed some guidance while drawing my design or carving his suggestions were spot on. Finally, print day was sooooo much fun!!! Printing with Lyell and my fellow artists was so rewarding.

- Such a great experience! I haven’t touched a woodblock since college, but the Master class gave me what I needed to go big! Lyell sets the tone for exploration, and fellow participant discussions ( a truly welcoming bunch!) helped to keep me motivated during some of the hard parts of carving. I loved seeing everyone’s work be realized and how different each local studio is.

- Enjoy working with Lyell and meeting new artists at nearby sites. I’ve done at least 8 or 9 sessions and always look forward to the next one. Amazed by Lyell’s patience, persistence and follow through. I would, and have, recommended BIGINK to any artist with a desire to work large in a collaborative setting.

- Big Ink is incredibly well-organized and a great value for the experience. From access to the videos and information beforehand to talking shop with other participants during the class, I always walk away with useful tips and feeling inspired to expand my printmaking skills.

- I had a lot of fun with Big Ink, Lyle runs a smooth operation. His tutorial videos are filled with great information and printing day is very well organized. I appreciated hearing Lyle’s and all the participants tips and tricks and experiences carving large blocks. It was a great learning experience – I would definitely do it again!
