I hiked in the Canadian Rockies during the summer of 2019 and was haunted by the spectre of mountains without glaciers. The print plays off the look of vintage (1920s – 50s) travel posters that were produced to promote the Rocky Mountains as holiday destinations (disaster tourism, anyone?). The title references advertising for whiskey and bourbon (to drown one’s sorrows, perhaps?). – Shealagh Pope
