Using mixed-media, I explore perception and memory. One influences the other, determining how we define ourselves, our relationships and our environment. I often incorporate the chair in my work as a metaphor for this exploration – as a “conveyance of memory,” if you will.

“High Chair” recalls the ubiquitous kitchen stool of the 1940’s and ‘50’s. It evokes, for me, the good smells of my mother’s cooking, learning by watching then doing, and the sense of all is well in the world. – Lynn Foskett Pierson
