I wish I’d coined “Silent Spring” myself but, of course, I borrowed it from Rachel Carson. This print was inspired by a diorama of bird skeletons at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Carving the shapes was great fun but the eco-warning is for real! – Mark Estes
