Two Minds is inspired by Castonguay’s observations of society finches. These birds live in close quarters and rely on mutual cooperation and cohabitation. Castonguay’s composition, inspired in part by a Janus head, places two contrasting personalities on one body. The piece symbolizes how animals work together in order to survive.
