Description

The Vampire Tiger Tuna, classified as a predator by zoologists, spends the majority of its life on the sea floor in search of small crustaceans.  Although its body structure looks rather awkward, the Tiger Tuna can synchronize its reptilian legs and fins to generate an effective form of locomotion called “swalking.”  What may be its most defining characteristic is the water spouts attached to the top of its head.  These are used by the Tiger Tuna to shoot a stream of water at unsuspecting victims. With its prey momentarily stunned, the Tiger Tuna coils its forked tongue around the victim and swallows it whole.
