[INTRO: MUSIC PLAYING]
Cleaning up your work surface and tools is easy.
No harsh chemicals are required.
The process takes even less effort
if your inking surface is a piece of glossy finger-painting paper.
Pull the sheet up and throw it away to start.
If using glass,
scrape the waste ink away with a knife and wipe it onto
scrap paper.
Newspapers and magazines are excellent for this purpose.
To clean your knife, swipe it across the scrap paper.
Remember to get all the blade’s edges.
Roll the brayer across scrap paper continuously until the pigment
strips away.
Use vegetable oil to remove any remaining residual ink.
Apply a few drops to a rag or paper towel and
work it over the surface of the glass, knife, and roller.
Continue this process until the color pigment is no longer visible on
the cloth. Finally,
spray your work surface and tools with a degreaser.
A spray bottle filled with water in a teaspoon of dish detergent works
perfectly.
Go over everything one final time with a clean cloth.
Your tools should be sparkling, ink-free, and ready for your next
project. Thank you for watching, and happy printing.
