Title: Creating A Rubbing
Time: 1:39
Summary: Learn to preview your carving in progress.
[INTRO: MUSIC PLAYING]
Create a rubbing and keep track of your design. It’s quick and easy.
You only need a sheet of paper, a graphite stick or rubbing wax.
Place a non-skid shelf liner underneath the wood and lay paper over the
surface. I prefer blank newsprint,
but copy paper works just as well.
Run the graphite stick or wax over the paper in one direction.
Cover the whole surface. Any text should appear backward,
but will flip when printed.
Repeated rubbings may be necessary as you start your design and try new tools
or textures. I hope you find this video helpful. Thanks for watching.
